Tarot cards attracting entities?

silvermoon
When I was in high school, a former English teacher of ours told us that she knows how to do cartomancy (reading using cards such as the Tarot). One of my classmates asked if she can bring her deck sometime. She said it might not be a good idea to bring it, especially in a school, since there are a lot of spirits there (not to mention, the school was literally not just near but in a mountain area) and they're attracted to the cards. How is this so and why?
"The woman is the mother of humankind.
If the woman is asleep, all of her children is asleep.
...It is time to wake up."

I really can't understand why your teacher said that because every diviner has a technique to protect themselves from unwanted entities while they are using their divination tools. And when we divine, we connect to the higher realm which is composed of Divine beings that guide us in this life; so I believe that it's less like that we can get tricked by unwanted spirits when we tap into our intution through a divination tool.

Same here. It really had me wondering that time before too. At first, I was like "Hmm, maybe?" But then I thought, isn't that problem with such "trickster" spirits more with medium stuff/channeling or that kind of thing since it's practically inviting something to come by (like say, in a Ouijia or spirit of the glass?). So, yep, got me confused a bit before. Thanks for sharing your ideas about it.

As for divination tools, I do agree that those are used to connect with the higher realms. But other than divine beings, I think since it taps into our intuition, it helps us connect to the consciousness of what's called our higher self.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use tarot cards properly:

1. When you acquire a tarot deck, the first thing you should do is to cleanse and bless it. Hold a white candle in your dominant hand while thinking that as the candle burns itself out, so as the negative energy (negative imprint of the people who held it during the manufacturing process) from the deck. Light the candle on a fire-proof container beside the deck.

2. After the candle burns down, hold the deck with both hands near your heart. Ask the Divine to bless it so it can serve as a medium of enlightenment and healing. You can also ask your spiritual guides or angels to communicate with your through this tool. You can give it a name if you want.

3. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with each card and its given meanings. Draw a tarot card a day and spend a reflective moment with it. Do this for several months or a year. Don't use it for other people until you are confident enough that you can do this properly.

Additional tips:
  • Treat your tarot deck with respect. Never use it just to entertain yourself or others.
  • Wrap it with white cloth when you're not using it.
  • Regulary cleanse and bless it (just follow steps 1 and 2). I do this once a week.
  • Every time you use it, don't forget to ask for Divine blessing and guidance.
